The Narrative: Through advertising and social marketing we wish to turn the word “Fratta” into an adjective of sorts. A word that may mean different things to different people, but to everyone, it is something comfortable, special, found, enjoyed or experienced. Through this experience of “Fratta” we will see sayings develop through submitted profiles of customers who have experienced fratta, found fratta or want to show off their Fratta. We see people sitting on their new couch, showing off their favourite pet, standing on a tall mountain, or with a special friend, all holding a little sign that they have created to tell us about their “Fratta”. Signs that express “Fratta” in their terms. Examples of which could be: • I’m a Fratta • This is my Fratta • I love Fratta • I found my Fratta • I found Fratta • This is Fratta Fratta is in fact a region in Itally and that’s not a bad thing, rolling vinyards, cool breezes, big families around a Tuscan dinner table . . . . though we don’t want to suggest that we are Italian. Though the Fratta coat of arms may or may not give some ideas, with it’s castle or crest like feeling. http://www.zazzle.ca/fratta+family+gifts While Fratta.com is going to be a home décor, furniture & Lighting site, we aren’t looking for a logo that tells you that. So please, no little houses in the logo. Focus on the feeling of Fratta. . . . . comfort, trust and integrity. Something that has been around for a while. Perhaps the best way to judge the logo, is that it would be something that a person would feel good about having on a golf shirt at his/her country club or yacht club, as if the logo itself suggested membership in a special group or elite class. Of course while looking great on a golf cap or shirt, it also needs to lay out on the top of the web page, so if a crest was created or icon of some sort, it could be done to incorporate the Fratta Name and then have the name beside it, so the crest could be broken out on it’s own for golf shirts, or perhaps it’s all one. A couple of tests that may be applied: 1. Does the logo have the richness of restorationhardware.com or PotteryBarn.com but not rinkydink like Home Depot 2. While it does not have to show right away that it is for a Home Improvement or furniture and decor site, a nod to this concept might be fine, though the logo should not hit someone over the head with the idea. 3. If we were to send a customer a golf shirt or a sweater with the logo on it, would it be something that he or she would be proud to wear without looking like they’re an employee or a walking advertisement. 4. If we can manage to build the brand into something special and importantly a word that means something special, then we want to be sure that people would feel cool to be associated with it. We do have a slogan but I did not include it in the specifications, as it is not absolutely necessary to have in the logo, but if you want to play around with it. “Proud to be Home”
