The products are handmade Pashmina scarves from Kashmir, Northern India. They are ethically produced, fair trade products, and the proceeds of their sales go back to non-profits working in Kashmir with Kashmiri children.
The brand is centred around these items, their production, those that make them (Kashmiris), those that raise the goats, and the Kashmir region itself. Kashmir itself is a region that has gone through decades of conflict, human rights abuses, economic decline, and other hardships. Also, original Kashmir Pashmina products have been drastically put out of business due to cheaper and less ethically made knock-off Pashmina products being produced in other regions of India and the world. With this project, I hope to help revive even a small portion of the artisans in Kashmir practicing this centuries-old tradition; while at the same time helping small populations of Kashmiri children realize their full potential.
Pashmina is actually a certain type of wool from a certain type of goat (Pashmina goats, or "changthangi"), found originally in the Himalayas, which surround Kashmir.
The logo I need designed will be a company logo, and more importantly needs to be simple enough to be stitched onto the scarves themselves, to be used as a symbol of the fair trade and ethical quality of the product. One solid colour, and simple. Actual colour at this point is not important, just the design itself.
I am not artistically inclined enough, which is why I am soliciting you! I have provided some sample logos, but the door is wide open for your creative minds.
I have also included sample photos of the scarves themselves, in case that helps.
Thank you for looking!
