How OEM Group started their logo design journey

OEM Group (http://www.oemgroupinc.com) builds machines that make microchips and other microdevices in the semiconductor industry. We need a logo for a new machine we will release called the "Torrent". The machine injects chemicals to a "wafer" then rotates that wafer at very high RPMs. For the logo, we would like to see the "O" be the graphic element that stands out as the symbol. The symbol can either be in front of the word "Torrent" or take the place of the "O" in the word. The font for the rest of the letters needs to be Montserrat. The "O" should show movement and fluidity and look like it's rotating.
The target audience are businesses that make microchips like Intel.
For help to understand what the machine does, the pictures I attached shows the injection of the chemicals to the wafer and the YouTube video will be even better to help you see what our machine does. For other inspiration, please look at Lucent Technologies's red circle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucent We like this because it isn't a solid "O", has a fluid look, and it appears to be in motion.

I found a video on YouTube that might help. This video is not from our company and this is only slightly similar to what we do, but starting at 53 seconds in, you'll see a great example of the rotation of the wafer and the way the fluids move off of it in much the same way our new product will do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UljpfANZPlg If it helps you to understand anything else about this, I can answer your questions if you message me directly. Thank you very much!
