Im Mittelpunkt der Reittherapie steht die Förderung der KlientInnen mit all ihren Stärken und Talenten, unter Berücksichtigung der vorhandenen Defizite. Reittherapie eignet sich für Menschen mit körperlichen und/oder geistigen Behinderungen, Lernbehinderungen, Verhaltensauffälligkeiten, Sinnesbehinderungen, sozialen und emotionalen Defiziten sowie psychisch-psychiatrischen Auffälligkeiten. Die Therapie beschreibt die Aktivitäten UM, MIT und AUF dem Pferd, wie beispielsweise: Lebensraum des Pferdes kennenlernen, taktiles Wahrnehmen des Pferdes, auf de, Pferd sitzen, das Pferd führen, Stallarbeiten, Fütterung, Übungen mit und auf dem Pferd
