Professional theater company based in Montreal, Quebec. We produce plays from actual and refreshing playwrights. Mostly "punch in the face" kinda plays. Our team members are all between 27 and 32 years old. Our last plays were written by Neil LaBute and Gregory Burke. We like to use innovation and technology in our productions. We're inspired by companies like Ex Machina (QC), Labyrinth Theater Company (NY), Atlantic Theater Company (NY), Playwrights Horizons (NY), The New Group (NY), Steppenwolf Theatre Company (IL), and Nouveau Theatre Experimental (QC). "LAB" stands for "Laboratory", as we're constantly looking for new creative paths, and "87" stands for "Interstate 87", the highway that connects Montreal to New York. Every year, we use this road to go to New York, where we get most of the inspiration for our shows. But we've got other favorite hangouts, like Chicago and Edinburgh. We travel and read a lot in order to find our plays. N.B. Please, no theater masks on the logo. Too kitsch. :P Also, we're opened to "Character" style logos. Thanks!
