The Y got their new logo design by running a design contest:
A new logo that gives homeless young people the respect they deserve

Community & Non-Profit
We are about to launch a new project that will support homeless young adults to find and keep their own accommodation in Leicestershire and Derbyshire. The project will work intensively with 18 – 24 year olds to address their housing needs alongside education, training and employment, helping them to over-come barriers that cause a cycle of homelessness and marginalisation.
Logo types to explore
Stylistic preferences: Simple, fresh and youthful but not too wild or childish. Trustworthy but not institutional. Envisage abstract design being integral with the wording. “East Midlands” could be much smaller. Other logos it must work with: Ambition East Midlands is a new company formed in partnership with three charities who will be delivering the project in their areas. It needs to be able to sit alongside the three charity logos: The Y, P3 and YMCA Derbyshire (note it does not need to reflect any of these)

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
The Y collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
