Community & Non-Profit
NYCServes is america's first coordinated network for Veteran services. NYCServes is a coordinated network of public, private and independent organizations serving veterans and their families. NYCserves network providers share information, engage in cross referrals, and work together to provide comprehensive support for Veterans and their families. Prior to NYCServes, organizations serving vets worked in silos. NYCServes is bringing these organizations together, and making it much easier for veterans and families to navigate the landscape of services available. Think HealthCare network, but for all Veteran services (Employment, job training, health services, family services, legal matters etc) Important ideas: NYC serves is increasing communication and collaboration, elevating standards of services, making access to services easier. Target audience: Veterans, their spouses and families. Brand identity: Trustworthy, Action oriented, Straightforward, a simpler and refreshing alternative We like the colors Blue and Yellow, but are also open to a more patriotic, american pallette. Logo should feel, bold, clean, eye catching.
Logo types to explore
This network will eventually be rolled out across the country. the first test site is NYC. Eventually we will roll out to other locations, including Charlotte North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Boston, Philadelphia etc. the layout of the logo should allow us to replace NYC with any new locations. This probably means the two words need to be stacked. And perhaps the two words NYC and Serves should somehow be stylistically differentiated, or graphically separated (but this is not essential). This logo should stand out a bold, action oriented and clean. Should not be intricate. We have considered incorporating the following symbols/images: a Link, a guiding Star, Network imagery, a Handshake, A military medal of honor. PLEASE NOTE THIS LOGO SHOULD NOT LOOK LIKE A CLICHED MILITARY OR GOVERNMENT LOGO. MUST STAND OUT FROM TYPICAL MILITARY IMAGERY. NO MORE EAGLES!
