Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The logo is for a sci-fi/horror/comedy called Night of the Mullets. Here's the logline:
"A brooding hipster teams up with a group of fighting hairdressers to save the town he's always hated from alien parasites that resemble the mullet haircut."
Our target audience is all fans of creature features - movies like Snakes on a Plane, Tremors, Mars Attacks!, Men In Black, etc. We plan on raising funds through kickstarter and would like an eye-catching logo we can put on beer coozies, T-shirts, hats and other such products.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

This is at its heart a creature feature - like CRITTERS, GREMLINS, THEM! or TREMORS. Inspired by the ALIEN face-hugger, the creature itself is a parasite that "mounts" the head of it's victim, plunges a long stinger into the base of his skull, and looks like a regular mullet haircut while sucking out the host's adrenaline. Imagine a giant hairy cockroach darting up walls - but with shorter, millipede like legs - and it's dark hair like the silver armor on a Silverfish's back. For further explanation see the document "Mullet FX" below.
I'd love a design that captures the spirit of those old "Weird Tales," "Creepy" or "Tales from
the Crypt" comic books, but with a "cool" to it like the graffiti art of Jaime Hewlett of the Gorillaz - sleek and iconic and a lot of fun.
I'd love for you to bring your own sensibilities to the logo... if you're feeling something welling up inside, then chances are it's good - you're engaging with the concept!
And if I see something in it I'll definitely work with you to bring it out!
