The product will appeal to eco-conscious,; perhaps frugal; foodies; they make their own stuff or support people that do. They shop online, local indies, wholefoods, trader joes. They admire simplicity and repurposing, they recycle. They are discriminating but shun pretentiousness.

reCAP will focus on selling high-quality, whimsical and eco-friendly caps for mason jars. Our first set of caps are gray and have a retro look. Next designs will include a modern sporty look and other designs will include farm animals (cow, pig, bee, rooster, etc). The mason jar itself was simple yet the functionality of the standard thread forever changed the way people store food. We want to continue the tradition of creating practical, functional yet fun products. We are considering packaging designs and may go with white mail tubes that look like barn silos. Or we will totally minimize packaging with the least amount of recycled material.
reCAP requires a new, creative logo design that will shape the identity of the entire brand. It should easily transfer to packaging, website design and merchandise. We want an image along with text. Looking at the projects at 99designs we enjoyed the designs by samovilka. We like clean lines yet playful. We like the "life is good" logo (attached).
