First off, thanks for all the wonderful design ideas. We really appreciate it! We still are very open to new ideas and we are serious about choosing one for our new logo for our company.
A little more guidance...we like the designs we are seeing with the following attributes:
-Realistic, simple, solid silhouettes (like those created from a sunset). I've uploaded some more images (in "sample logos") in the brief to show these types of colors in sunsets to give a better idea.
-The image should still reflect the business and who makes the products, where they are from, and the cause. Think indigenous hand crafted arts made with love - but this doesn't mean there needs to be a heart included. Also, the aspect of empowerment which can be more symbolic in some way
-Sunset colors in the image, but keep the whole graphic to 2-4 different colors (including black and white). I've uploaded some more images (in "sample logos")in the brief to show these types of colors in sunsets to give a better idea
-The name "poa products" all on one line, horizontally with a logo image either in between the two words or on top...but we are open to any other creative ideas, also using the initials "PP" somehow.
-We prefer lower case letters, but feel free to experiment and also with fonts. We are preferring simpler and thinner fonts
Again, please check the brief for some updated images for ideas of our preferences for styles of the graphics as mentioned in the first point above.
Thanks, hope this helps.
Additional notes that we initially posted for the contest:
We would like to emphasize the aspect that we are helping empower the local East African underprivileged individuals. These products will be of high quality, hand-made, very fashionable arts and crafts that the East African locals make. Many of the products will be made by the maasai people so I've attached some images showing this.
Main themes are 1) Hand-made fashion products with a purpose, 2) Made by the underprivileged in East Africa.
We like simple solid silhouetted objects but we also want the designers to have the freedom to come up with their own ideas and designs. We'd like
to see a graphic along with the name that represents what our products are
about, where they are made and by whom, and the purpose/cause of the company.
Also just an FYI, "Poa" means "cool" in Swahili, the language spoken in East Africa.
