1)The Fund is 75 years old and has a fine history of raising funds for social services to the greater Newark NJ community.
2)Although it was formerly called the Greater Newark “Christmas” Fund we changed the name to broaden our focus. However, we are not turning our back on Christmas and we are trying expand the Fund to include more than just the holidays in our campaigns.
3)Our current logo pictured colorful Christmas boxes with ribbons. It was created by The Star-Ledger for our use in the newspaper. It is tired.
4)We need to get into the 21st century and recognize change.
5)We need a whole package of items including recognition of our 75th year, (color and B/W JPEG/EPS files) convertibility after the year is over, letterhead, envelopes designs
6)For the most part the donors are located outside of the city of Newark but many grew up in the city.
7) Among other things, we are trying to attract more younger people as our donors tend to be older. Modernity vs. tradition.
8) Simplicity would be good.
9)We don’t want to look like the United Way or the Red Cross or the Salvation Army.
