The logo must scale to fit comfortably onto a watch dial, similar to emblems on brands such as TAG or rolex etc. The logo text can be just be the word "melbourne" or "Melbourne Watch Company" if it can be accommodated without looking too crowded.
As per the very rough sketch attached, I would like something that incorporates a a stylised version of melbourne's flinders street station with the small clock within the dome shown in a minimalist way. Howver, I am open to other designs that reflect Melbourne in some way if it looks good.
My other thought was perhaps the building could have 3 "prongs" instead of 4 and form an "M" blended into the clock etc.
Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
FYI - the second image I have uploaded is flinders street station in Melbourne for those who don't live here!
**Update ** - have uploaded a second sketch (very rough - I can't really draw!) which incorporates the text in the dome itself. Would be good to see some ideas utilising this!
**Update ** - Just uploaded a render of one of the watch designs. The logo would need to go above the central axis. What we are thinking now is that it might be best to have the logo for the website and then an "extract" of the logo to feature on the dial to keep it simple and not overpower the dial. Would be good to see this demonstrated.
