I would like the character to look like my pit bull (photos attached), with full ears (not cropped) and, if a tail is shown, a full tail (not cropped). I gave several different views of body so that you can see coloration, shape, etc. Smiling dog with tongue out looks friendlier, as do ears up rather than back. I love her crooked floppy ears. The feeling of my company is friendly, yet serious dog training. I don't want it to be silly and dismissive as immature.
