This is a re-brand of www.whiskerstudio.com. We make higher-end modern, designer cat trees, beds, scratchers, wall-climbing shelves, etc.
Logo types to explore
The products from http://www.whiskerstudio.com will be initially what is sold at the new ContempoCat.com site. The new site is going to be quite clean and minimalist, probably a white background. The logo should be simple enough that it can be reproduced in b/w, and even potentially laser etched into the wood as a mark. I will probably add a tag line at some point, but don't have it currently, so a horizontal or square logo might be preferable to a vertical one, so it can be added in later or at the end of the contest. Colors: Maybe some dark grey or maybe brown with one primary color?? Think "architectural" ala Frank Lloyd Wright for inspiration. or Dwell Magazine. Our company is about "living with cats", creating products that are useful to them and provide aesthetic to us owners. Our target customer view their cats as children, so it would be great to convey this togetherness of cat + home, if possible. Re: personality: Our "contempo" cat is confident, self-aware and basically owns your home. Your are there to feed him and pet him when he asks for it. But he has style, and is not arrogant or rude. He is to be taken seriously, as if a person. Hence, no cartoons or overly expressive faces, or too much cuteness. That's been done a million times. We want to stand out as a new type of cat personality, one which is more like a person, yet still abstract.Re: style: I would rule out any cursive fonts and anything "whispy" looking, or cartooney.Re: color: No pastels, neons, or dark colors. I think of a modern green as more of a pistachio, orange more of a tangerine. There are some examples in the submissions already. Other colors are welcome, if they work.
