We're very happy with Ababil's design for the OUI community. He was incredibly quick and responsive to our small edits.

How Steve Dec started their logo design journey

Mind Blowing Sox
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We sell socks over the internet, but we are more of a discovery service than a retailer. You can see the site at http://www.mindblowingsox.com Our customers are making us the authorized agent of discovery for their socks. For example, our "Joy of Sox" package contains 3 pairs of socks all from different brands/manufacturers that we have found, tested, fondled, photographed and written high-minded prose about. While we don't want this tagline incorporated into our logo, we promise to "Improve Your Sox Life". Everything we do has to be clever; otherwise we’re just selling socks. We are looking for people who are willing to pay a premium for clever fashion that makes a statement. People who want to discover new brands, styles, materials. People who find meaning in the socks they wear. We lean into the pun - we're coming up with a 50 Shades of Grey package, a MakeUp Sox package, etc. We have a soxual harassment policy. We want our brand to be clever, suggestive and fun while maintaining the premium aspect of the offering. We want a logo that does the same.

We're trying to sell something where customers don't know exactly what they are getting, but we're promising that they'll be better off for it. There's an unexpected anticipation there that we're trying to capture. I don't know what it looks like...and I'm not even sure if it should be reflected in the logo...but I'm intrigued by the possibility around that theme.
