We got a logo designed through 99 Designs two years ago. We want to redesign or polish up the existing logo so it's more international and contemporary. We have feedback that our logo looks ethnic and it's more 1970s. We still want the same colours and don't want something drastically different, but we want to take it to the next level as Nadz & Sabs is growing and targeting a more global market.
The current logo is difficult to execute also. We face issues with the shading effect in the logo since our label tags attached to garments (done with thread embroidery) does not allow the shading in the same way. The black box around the logo is another limitation we face, we need a transparent background so we can place the gold logo against black, white or any other coloured background if we wish.
Nadz & Sabs clothes have detailed hand beading, embroideries and art and craft. We chose the paisley design with its intricate works to reflect this when we first designed the logo. We are happy to lose this symbol or consider a more simplified version of it incorporated in the design.
The balance between international/contemporary and craft/intricate is the challenge in this design project.
Further, we'd like to see Nadz & Sabs in capital letters. Design elements incorporating our initials N & S may be a good option to consider.
