Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Sponsored by the Florida Professional Photographers, the Florida Photography Workshops is an annual 4-day event offering continuing education to professional and aspiring photographers. Our target market is broad-- largely women (25-40) who have been in the business less than five years and hungry for knowledge relating to their photography businesses, but also the seasoned pro who is looking for continuing education and inspiration. The Workshops offer two and four day classes where 'students' choose one instructor/subject and study hands-on in small classroom groups (typically 8-20 students). Instructors and subjects vary year to year. The Workshops are currently known as the Florida School of Photography and have been held annually for more than 20 years. The parent association-- the Florida Professional Photographers-- would like to get away from the idea of a "school" in the title because newer photographers today seem turned off by that term. Hence the new name "Florida Photography Workshops". We need a new look/logo to go with the new name to attract new (and younger) attendees!

Don't get hung up on using a "camera", "tripod" or "lens/aperture" icon for a graphic; we're not completely opposed to it, but we don't necessarily want or need to incorporate one into the logo. I've included our current logo as an example of what we DON'T want-- it's boring!
