Love the logo! She came up with a fantastic logo that was completely different from most of the designs we received and perfectly represented the company.

The George Hicks Foundation helps young people break the cycle of disadvantage through support for educational interventions. We listen to people experiencing the issues. We collaborate across the community to invest in ideas that will create long term, sustainable change. We are committed to helping drive entrepreneurship in the community because this builds the resilience needed for an empowered, community owned response to the challenges they face.

What we do is very raw and emotional. Nothing is too polished or perfect. We help build things from humble beginnings. At the heart of everything do is the community- real people with real stories that we listen to and learn from. We are primarily focused on youth, so we need youthfulness/slightly hipster reflected in our identity.
As an organization we want to encourage philanthropists to be inspired by our approach to the not for profit sector because it is modern, unique, but backed up by a solid innovation process to ensure we get sustainable, long term change.
We hope you can help us create brand identity that captures our qualities. We are humble, entrepreneurial, creative and not entirely perfect. But we are also modern and bold enough to capture hearts and minds of all we engage with.

The reasons we like the logos included:
Throw away lines- it's youthful, hipster, feels like us
Frankie- youthful, powerful.
red costi- simple line illustration, love the simplistic image
chalk talk- text is not complete, it feels not 'polished' or 'perfect' which is the nature of the work we do- grass roots
school of life- use of yellow, love the way it can go onto a gate and feel impactful and purposeful
Frank- use of one letter in different colour
Raw Innovation- letters are not perfect, feel like it's written by hand
