Who are you known as?
The Purple Camp
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Purple Camp is a series of camp programs for children, teens, and adults with epilepsy throughout New England. This is a re-brand of an existing program that has been called Camp Wee Kan Tu. At epilepsy camp, campers are "normal:" they are supported to do ALL of the things every other kid/adult can do, and they make connections to others with epilepsy. Lifelong friendships, community, and recreation - swimming, archery, arts/crafts, talent show, campfires etc etc. Purple camp can be the one week of the year that children or young adults look forward to as not having to be "different" or left out- where having a seizure is normal and to be expected.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
