I need help to re-invent my logo. The one I'm currently using attached is the 'true blue reptiles' with the lizard above the text. The issues with the current version are:
Ambiguity; the logo doesn't clearly say what we do (kids parties).
Too formal; the text is very clean & professional looking, but this is not the look we're going for. The text should be fun & funky, it's a birthday party we're trying to sell.
Emphasis; the current logo I feel draws a lot of attention to the 'true blue' and not enough to 'reptiles' which is probably the most important word in the logo.
When re-inventing this logo could you please consider a few points:
My business name is important to me, and it's not changing, but I'd like to introduce a 'slogan' to help clearly say what we're all about. I believe the 'Wild Action' logo (attached) is a smart concept, the business name takes a back seat to the slogan 'the zoo comes to you'. To help me appeal to my market better I'd like my new logo to mirror this, my slogan is 'Mobile Reptile Parties', these are the best keywords for advertising my services online.
I want the lizard to stay (it is based off the 'eastern blue-tongue lizard', which is my champion/mascot), although the current depiction can be modified in keeping with the theme & following points.
I'm very happy with the colour blue.
The current logo is a misery when it comes to printing because it's not particularly versatile. For instance it can only be used on a white background. Any creative design solutions would be great.
The overall style could be more 'comic book' because it needs to appeal to small children, particularly boys. As you can see with the lizard design, I want my advertising to be 'cool' rather than cutey-pie.
The blue-tongue of the lizard as a focal point really appeals to me, I think of it as being the only part of a black&white comic that's been touched with a wild hot blue paint brush, if anything it's a bit of a clean look, by all means mess this up a little & include paint spots, please be imaginative.
One last point, there may be an opportunity to design a car wrap in the near future also.
