How cdailey started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
City of Elmendorf Texas
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a small, rural town in Texas just outside San Antonio. We were established in 1885 and got our start as a railroad town. Eventually, the railroad faded and our town dwindled. Now, the railroad has come back and our little town is booming again. Population doubled in the last ten years. We have attracted some big industry to town, but we are looking to grow in commercial areas, attempting to attract stores and restaurants. We got our start as a Railroad town and our revitalization is once again related to the rail. We are thinking a train theme...maybe some type of artistic mix of an old train and a new train.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Community & Non-Profit
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth.

The logo winner will be selected by our city council. It will be used in our website, on our emails, on our formal letterhead and will even be blown up to huge proportions to be placed on our water tower. We currently use our city seal as a logo, but it is rather generic and not very creative. I will attach a copy of it for reference, but we do not necessarily need to incorporate it. We got our start as a Railroad town and our revitalization is once again related to the rail. We are thinking a train theme...maybe some type of artistic mix of an old train and a new train.
