SALGA NYC has 20 years of history serving the queer South Asian community in New York City. As such, we are one of the larger queer Asian groups in the United States. We are a volunteer run non-profit organization.
We see ourselves as a friendly, inclusive community organization. We would like colors or symbolism that can stand for all the various cultures, religions, and communities that make up South Asia (Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, as well as South Asian diaspora in various parts of the world), and for all gender and sexual identities.
We are open to something inspired by our current logo, or something entirely new. We need an image that is bold, visible, and energetic.
For an overview of our programming, please check our website, http://www.salganyc.org, and feel free to add us on facebook.
