I am a writer on resilience and motherhood. My target audience is Moms, most especially those with young children. My work appears on places like Babble, Scary Mommy and Huffington Post Parents section. But also, my background in positive psychology gives me a voice in the world of academia where I write more scientific worded articles for Positive Psychology News Daily. It appears I have one foot in the self-help industry here.
The most important thing I want you to keep in mind in creating this logo is that I aim to be relatable. I am that wise friend you go to for advice because I've got a lot of experience and I am willing to tell the truth. I am dancing a fine line between being an "expert" and "relatable" but if given the choice it is most important to be authentic, down to earth, trustworthy and real.
I am technically just a blogger right now, but my goal is to be an author one day which is why I am branding my name.
The logo I have in mind is something simple, yet warm and friendly...beautiful but serious. Maybe it needs a vintage or rustic feel because I consider myself a bit of an old soul.
If you are interested in this project, I will ask you to visit my website, http://www.AliciaAssad.com to see the colors I am drawn to. I like the blue color I use on the font at the top but I am not married to this. If you feel something will better communicate my image, please let me know!
Note: I am going to pair this logo with and without the tagline:
"Vulnerability is the birthplace of growth."
