aprwx got their new logo design by running a design contest:

We just need a tornado designed.
Logo types to explore
- A simple, Identifiable tornado if it were very small and seen from a good distance. For example if it were only 2" x 2" but can be seen well from 20 feet away if possible. - The intent is to not be photo-realistic, but more of a cartoon/logo that is classy and modern. - ideally around 1 or 2 colors... black for accents and another color (white for example) as primary color - Little dust/debris underneath possibly - Maybe the top of the tornado somewhat funnel shaped (like you can see down the funnel), angled top down and towards you to the right. - We want several versions of the same thing with the primary color changing to: White, Blue, Bronze, Silver & Gold. For example, one version would be all white with limited (if any) highlighting/shadowing colors. Then another one of the same thing with the primary color being Gold, etc. We attached an image of 8 examples that we liked in some manner. Of these, our favorites are #5 & #7. In example 1, we like the flow of the way the tornado is made. We don't like that its such a basic shape with no curves. In example 2, we like the shadowing and dimensional depth and maybe the curve of it. Also the way the streaks inside are made up. We don't like that it has the letters F and 5 in it. That's unnecessary for our purposes. In example 3, we don't care for this one as much, but it gives an example of a cutty swoosh thing it does inside of it that we kind of like. In example 4, we like the shape a little bit. Otherwise it's crap. In example 5, this may be one of our favorites. We like the way the tornado is made with a continuous ribbon, and the shape of it. Also like the coned top tilted towards us slightly. Although this doesn't actually have debris at the bottom, it kind of looks like it, and we like that idea. In example 6, we like the shape and design. But we don't like the flat top. In example 7, this again is one of our favorites. The continuous ribbon/swoosh look, very clean. More logo-y look instead of a real tornado or cartoon. In example 8, we like the shape, but thats about it.
