Community & Non-Profit
Full Name: Hope Community Church - Olmsted (the Olmsted is there but not the main idea) Hope - hope is really a powerful thing. Max Dupree “The belief that any of us can live without hope and still be healthy, is a terrible deception. Sadly the lack of hope may be the most serious reality in our society today.” Paul in I Cor. 13: “When everything is gone there are three things that will stand…faith HOPE & love.” The truth is that without hope is impossible to live. When we say of someone that they have lost all hope, there is nothing else. The opposite is also true, when someone is filled with hope there is no end to what they can do and be. When the Bible uses the word hope it does not use it in the same way we use the word. We use it to speak of a desire not yet met. “I hope…” …I hope will you be there tomorrow? … … I hope the electric going to stay on?... This is not the way the scriptures uses the word hope. This hope is sure. The only reason it is hope is because we can’t see it yet but it is sure. Community- community is what the word Church actually means. A community of people who have in common a love for Christ and passion to see his kingdom come. It is a powerful thing. Two important ideas: Growth and maturity were designed to happen in community. Church always happens in a context - in a community. We are to be light in the place God calls us. Let me know if I can provide any further details!
Logo types to explore
We are looking for practical vector artwork for our church plant in Olmstead Falls, Ohio. Looking for less-is-more approach, looking for memorable shapes, and practical versatile usage. The ability to use the brand as a 1:1 square as well as a horizontal logo is ideal (ensuring that the mark is memorable), ex: Apple logo, they can just use the Apple, or they can use Apple Inc. In the way of implementation, some favorites are: Pepsi, Target, GE, Mercedes Benz, Gucci, Hyundai, Lexus, Puma, Adobe, Delta. We are really excited about hitting all the key points, getting the full name in there is not quite as big a deal: unique, simple, memorable, practical to print, less colors, etc. Below are some pictures of the city/community as inspiration. Fonts: Use whatever you'd like, however I as a web developer, I love Google Fonts, and I have a TypeKit subscription, so if you use those fonts, you can save me some headache. Thanks!
