Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We were founded in 1954 as one of the nation's first gender specific treatment organizations for chemical dependency and mental health problems. We spent most of our history focused on women's issues and now we have expanded to serve the entire family unit, with a special focus on children. By serving the children we hope to prevent the problems of addiction and mental illness from transferring to the next generation. We operate in five locations across the Twin Cities in Minnesota. We offer outpatient/residential addiction and mental illness treatment, specific support for pregnant and parenting women, offer parenting education and coaching, case management, and primary health care.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

Unique - love the fingerprint idea. Meaningful. Relevant to us.
We want to avoid child-like graphics, anything with easily defined people (or human figures represented), or rainbows. The team wants a logo that is beautiful, inspirational, classic, and shows growth. We are located in Minnesota so snowflakes are nice but want to avoid graphics that resemble religious symbols. Mandala designs are good but they have to be simple enough to be embroidered or on signage. Recovery is hard. It lasts your entire life. It affects the entire family. We want to show empowerment, healing, movement, growth, journey, interconnectedness, and emergence in our logo to represent how challenging and renewing recovery can be. We also want to show beauty. The beauty of becoming who you were meant to be. http://Www.waysidehouse.org
