Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are Canada's first national non-profit dedicated to raising the social awareness of men's health in Canada. Men lead in 14/15 leading causes of death in Canada and the primary reasons are men's reactive rather than proactive approach to health, and lack of men's health education and awareness. The two names above are for an online gender based health risk assessment tool developed for men. The online tool will provide men with a low, medium, high 10 year risk assessment for developing one or more of the 7 most common diseases and conditions for men. The results are analyzed and a personalized report is provided to the participant to improve lifestyle behaviours to reduce their risk of developing one or more of the 7 diseases/conditions.
This tool is the first of its kind in the world.
A female version of the tool will be created in 2016.
Target audience is men aged 20-65 with a particular emphasis on ages 30 - 50 (generally married with kids).
