Entertainment & The Arts
Review That Review is a comedy podcast where we, The Review Queens, meticulously review...reviews. We are the ‘Siskel & Ebert’ of hilarious, scathing, and sometimes suspicious online reviews. We assess the effectiveness, bias, grammar, and entertainment of everyday pedestrian online reviews resulting in a final score of 1 to 5 crowns. The clean hip minimal vibe with intentionality is paramount. Additional Podcast Segments: One-star zingers: We recite a short, brutal, stinging review in a style selected at random by our spinning wheel, the Meryl (Streep)-Go-Round. Lodge a complaint: At the beginning of every episode we each draw from the comings and going’s of our personal lives to “lodge a complaint”. Our Royal Highness: don’t worry...it’s not all kvetches and criticism...each episode ends with our queen of the week. A 5 crown review dedicated to someone who made a positive impact on our lives that week. Who knows maybe it will be you??? The overall vibe is facetious and fun. In a world where everyone’s a critic, cancel culture looms over us all and Karen’s are lurking around every corner, we aim to lighten the mood. ...because nothing unifies people more than judging random strangers on the internet! What's your vision?
We are most drawn to simple, minimalist designs. We are hoping to have a very strong visual impact with a clean, hip, minimal vibe that somewhat explains exactly what the podcast is in visual form. (Reviewing online reviews in a comedic way.) We have tossed around several concept ideas in an attempt to get away from being as obvious and "on the nose" as just 5 gold stars, but we are starting to wonder if there is a fresh take on stars rather than just throwing that default idea away. We have toyed with imagery of a Red Sharpie which evokes grading and redlining and being critical. (We have attached a quick Canva mock-up of this if you're inspired to make it better!) We also toyed with Crown imagery but we aren't sure it's as clear in telling what the podcast is about. Other imagery ideas we've played with include magnifying glass, binoculars, emojis. But we must, at all costs, steer clear of anything feeling 2D clip-art and amateur. We have attached some concepts we like as well as some podcast cover art we are really drawn to as well as a rough mock-up of the red sharpie idea. We want a banging podcast cover design that visually tells you what the podcast is... Your two trusty friends reviewing hilarious online reviews.
For font we want to make sure the title stands out, utilizing thick bold fonts similar to those used on the samples included in the design style inspiration document that we attached to this project.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Podcast starts at $199.

And then… they selected a winner!
We were very fortunate to have Logovara as one of the designers in our contest. They consistently provided updates on designs within a timely manner. When we gave them feedback they were quick to make changes and assure that we were happy with the outcome. The best part was the process that we took together. From the start, we had a lovely collaboration with Logovara. Following the journey and progression of the design was a true amalgamation of both of our creative styles and preferences. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and the professional yet fun elements of the design! Thank you, Logovara. Highly recommend. 5 stars! <3
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
