Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The IJA was created in 1947 to answer the need for "an organization for jugglers that would provide meetings at regular intervals in an atmosphere of mutual friendship." Our members range from top professionals to avid hobbyists and enthusiastic beginners.
The IJA is an organization of individuals dedicated to promoting juggling. Our volunteers make this happen. Members contribute to this worthy goal with both their time and dues. In addition members receive many benefits including: reduced prices on IJA videos, access to the members-only functions on this site, the right to attend the annual IJA juggling festival, and lots of other cool stuff.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
The IJA is in need of a 6"x4" vertical postcard design. This design must contain information about our 66th Annual IJA Fest 2013. It will take place at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. It is our first return to a college campus in approximately 20 years! Dates of the fest are July 15 through 21, 2013. Information and registration will soon be online at http://www.juggle.org/festival. The IJA fest is a week full of juggling, workshops, competitions, world-class performances, games, late-night shows, joggling, and much more!
I believe our IJA photo gallery is available to the public and is located online at http://www.juggle.org/gallery for inspiration and to understand more about our event. There are also some official DVD trailer videos on youtube. Again, these might help with inspiration. Our official logo should appear on the postcard front in some way. That file is attached to this design brief.
I do not want the front of the postcard to appear too busy or jumbled. I need something clean and professional-looking yet fun and eye catching. I need the format to be pdf and/or pages (mac). Word is also acceptable but not a preferred format.
The IJA is a fun group of people. We are trying to change our image to a more professional image while not losing the FUN side of our character. The pictures and videos should help immensely with the design inspiration.
