A patent pending duel purpose insert that prevents the hat shape from deforming (wrinkling, crushing, losing original shape) and migration of sweat from head to hat crown.
Description of the product target audience
All people who wear hats while perspiring.
All ages, sexes, locations, income levels. We are targeting elite resorts, golf clubs, teams, events with well known logos.
The product is packaged as a flat flexible piece. Upon installation, it curves to the crown of the hat. There are two basic components that I am looking for you to design.
1. The bag it fits into... cool packaging concept.
2. The installation instructions.
3. Packaging must say " U.S. Patent Pending".
What to avoid
Need to make sure that the packaging incorporates the instructions in their entirety.
18.7 inch wide X 2.5 inch tall X .1 inch thick.
Hat preserver installed
Titleist golf glove package that I find interesting. Easy open and thin.
Front of titleist golf glove package
Back of titleist golf glove package. Good place to incorporate installation instructions.
Folding over extention to make packaging not so tall.
This is (what I believe) is the final version of The Hat Preserver. Note I took out the adjustment wedge from the top.
This is The Hat Preserver with the bottom half of the absorbent layer folded up and clipped to the top. This is a necessary step in installation. The top half of the absorbent layer (comes bonded to the top of the stabilizer layer. The bottom of the absorbent layer is folded upwards and clipped to the top of the stabilizing layer. The underside of the absorbant layer has a double sided adhesive tape (extremely sticky) that is backed with a thin removable backing. It must be clipped in two places so it does not interfere with the next step, insertion of the Bottom half of the stablizing layer into the pocket between the hat sweat band and the fabric of the front panels of the hat.
This picture shows the stabilizing layer has been places as far into the pocket as possible...to the bottom. The sweat band should not be draped over the stablizing layer.
With the sweat band now draped over the stablizing layer, the clips are removed from the absorbant layer exposing the tacky adhesive, and then carefully draped over the sweat band.
Makes sure that the absorbant layer is applied consistantly and smoothly along the sweat band. Use the adjustment wedges to manuever the absorbant extentions as needed to align with the sweat band towards the rear of the hat.
These are anti-perspiration strips that can be places anywhere and any time into the hat crown, should there be prespiration migration in areas not covered by The Hat Preserver.
Middle notch should not be there. I took it out.
Full view of The Hat Preserver uninstalled.
Upside down picture.
Top part of absorbant layer folded up upon itself, and clipped in place.
Stablizing layer pushed into bottom of pocket between sweat band and front panels.
Clips removed, tape backing peeled off, and absorbent layer draped over sweatband.
