Check out Jacob_G's Product packaging contest…
Description of the product
We are Twice Element, a kitchen & homeware brand. We are launching a cocktail shaker set aimed for people who value good design and quality. The product can be bought as a gift or by aspiring mixologist. Our brand: -We want to focus on quality and simplicity, rather than adding extra "cheap" features. -We want to propose no fuss items, that are enjoyable to use, not just nice to look at. "Less is more" philosophy, but not we are not complete minimalists either! -Our products would be great as gifts too so, besides the quality of the product, the packaging will be a key element. We position ourselves in the mid- to high-end range. -Twice Element refers to quality+simplicity as well as us, the two creators behind the brand.
Description of the product target audience
-The target customer is +25 years old adults, male or female. -Target audience: design conscious consumer, willing to spend a little more to get higher quality products,
-Design the cylinder box packaging for the cocktail set. As per our brand value,"less is more" in terms of design, but we are not looking for a complete minimalism either. We want it to look elegant. -Colours: we are thinking black, white and gold/metallic, but open to other suggestions. -We have included inspirational images. Image 7 : really like the design --> sleek, elegant, clear Image 5&6: we like the fact that there is a pattern in the background (not necessary the pattern itself). Not sure how to include that on our packaging?? any ideas welcome. Should be subtle though. Image 4: looks sleek, too "glamourous" for our brand but again quite like the idea of the pattern in the background Image 2&3 (tom dixon): really like the simplicity of the packaging yet looks elegant/less is more -Font used in our logo is Gotham Light, but feel free to use other fonts as well. --> the winning designer might also be asked to design a short cocktail recipe book and packaging insert as a separate job. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! Thanks a lot and good luck :)

And then… they selected a winner!
We really enjoyed working with Inmyde and look forward to working with her on future projects. We are very pleased with the final designs, and had fun iterating on all of the designs throughout the process.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
