Vir2 Instruments
Vir2 has consistently produced the highest quality instrument libraries available. Over the years, our sounds have been featured in hundreds of charting songs and top film and television soundtracks. We are the largest distributor of sample libraries in the world, and we create the most up-to-date loop and virtual instruments libraries using our extensive recording facilities and team of producers. As when you hire a musician or engineer in the studio, experience is vital.
We are releasing a product called "Thunder: Epic Toms for Cinema". This product contains various playable tom instruments with a focus on epic, dramatic and large sounds for cinematic scoring and music production.
*Note: When we say "Toms" we are not talking about the Toms on a drumset. These are concerthall Toms (see the image that we've included to see what they look like).*
The product art should have a certain EPIC feel to it. How you view "epic" is entirely up to your own creative mindset and we're open to different ideas. A well designed cover with concert toms is what we're looking for.
This cover would most likely be best by keeping people out of the cover. A focus on a single instrument or group of instruments would be best with a finely crafted font for the title. The title should be large and prominent and expertly incorporated into the design
The design can be created using any graphics program(s) you like, but we would like final delivery in PSD or PNG format, layered, at 300dpi. It will be used as the front cover of the DVD case. Dimensions are 5.1" x 7.2" with 0.125" (1/8") bleed. The use of stock photography is acceptable within a reasonable price range. If you choose stock photography, feel free to use the preview (watermarked) image in your mockup, and we will overlook it during the contest's duration, then will purchase it if you are the winner of the contest.
Please leave out any flying musical notes, tacky clip art, or other "cheesy" design elements. We are only going to consider a design with a high level of technical execution and a pro look.
