Brimstone is a gritty werewolf fantasy set in the Appalachian hills. The protagonist is a 16 year old blacksmith who finds himself pitted physically, mentally, and emotionally against a living nightmare.

The iron rose is a key item in the story. The lighting and sparks allude to the blacksmith element as well as a fire that destroys the town he lives in. Other metal elements further reinforce the blacksmith theme.
