Silhouetted dragon with the clan name integrated into its body. As its use would primarily be on merchandise, I kept the logo dimensions fairly square in shape. At small sizes it easily reads as a dragon. Since it was for a more romantic novel series, I made the dragon look fierce and added some whimsy to the text instead.
