In the picture you can see a man consuming marijuana but at the same time he consumes love and all the nice feelings he has for the woman he loves. You can see that the woman is mixed with the smoke as well as her hand that touches his face.
That was my immediate vision of the situation described in the instructions given by the author of the song.
