There aren't enough words for me to describe my experience working with this designer. I would like to start from the beginning as I put great worth in reviews of products and services and always look to fully understand the meaning or emotion behind the review. When I first approached 99 designs several years ago for a different company, I was impressed by the ease of the contest, the quality of designers associated with the program and the complete and professional handover of materials. I knew I would use them again in the future. Low and behold I started my own business in 2015 and was told I needed to have a personal graphic designer do my logo so there wouldn't be any replicas out there. After 4 months and much miscommunication (and I might say total depression b/c I feel my inspiration was being totally ignored for a business that was going to bare my name) AND hundreds of dollars I ended up with a logo I didn't care for but just finally accepted so the process would be over. I then created my own logo on a plane trip home in Publisher (I know all the designers are cringing right now!). I knew it wasn't a good logo but at least it was more of what I wanted. So, I finally bit the bullet and decided to spend another bucket of small cash on 99designs. I swallowed my pride and started out with total honesty in my briefing. I spilled the beans and gave as much detail as possible on the earlier failed attempt of logo creation and also included my homemade logo. I then went into the invite a designer program and picked only platinum level designers which I knew was going to be a long shot considering I had picked the cheapest package and reward. I sent emails to several telling a brief synopsis of my story and begged for professional help from them. Zsnail was one of my top 5 designers I had reached out to so I was amazed, appreciative and PUMPED that she said she would try to make time to enter a design for my contest. I had received several and really, really liked one of the designers (she was also a platinum designer and very talented) and was pretty set on hers until Zsnail sent over a logo that just shouted my name. It wasn't exactly perfect, but it was ME -I could see she took the time to read all my briefs, go through the many, (many) files I had sent over of likes and dislikes and created something personable and effective for my personal concierge and lifestyle management firm. I continued to ask for different fonts or placement of minor words like THE. I then started feeling bad after my last designer experience as they told me every time I had them move a word I would be charged for it so I downloaded Zsnail's logo and again hit the ol' Publisher to make some modifications so I didn't have to bother Zsnail with it until I knew what my eye was really impressed with. I wasn't sure how to show her these details so she educated me on how the different pages work on 99designs (so now she has become a 99designs support team member) and I shot over my homemade revisions of her logo. She politely said, "I don't mind doing these revisions for you when you have questions about placement and such"...I was shocked - she was encouraging me to have her do more work, just to satisfy my curiosity about what looked better??? What? Is she is wanting me to be satisfied and fully aware of the parameters of my logo? This was crazy talk to me! We messed with the original design several times and then I finally said - I love the idea but something is just not aligning properly - maybe it's just the idea I gave you originally and that just won't work. BAM - she sent back a modification of the original in a new format and my jaw dropped! There it was - the branding for my labor of love. She had completely encompassed everything I wanted my logo to represent in one beautifully designed piece of art. We made a few minor changes to fonts and before I had even picked her as the winner she presented me with a complete outline of color and font details for future use and presented me several options of color variations. (I couldn't ever get the personal designer here to even send me over a transparent format!). It was obvious I was picking her as the winner but for her to go ahead and give me all the details before the official announcement said to me I was dealing with someone who had a heart of gold, a true commitment to her work and client and a person who was destined to make the world a better place with one small act of kindness at a time. She had seen my frustrations before and wanted to represent her industry impeccably by showing me not all designers are "out to get ya!". She was always very prompt and courteous with her responses and paid intricate attention to details and needs. Even after the file handover when I noticed a few minor alignment issues, she reviewed and reworked the entire zip folder to make sure everything was pristine and resent the work over (and even gave me a great tip on an unzipping software which [she doesn't know this but the other company I own is a technical company so I had our VP of Tech review the software before I downloaded it] was a very safe and reputable software. I truly believe she is worthy of more money than the original awarded prize and I have tried to give her more which she has politely declined and asked me only to give her a satisfactory review for her page. Satisfactory? What? I give her my HIGHEST recommendation not only for design work, but for customer service, attention to detail, industry representation and just being a good egg in the world today focused so much on individual gain. I serve as VP of Business Development for Cloud Clarity and am the owner of The Kassie Project and in both businesses I expect myself alongside my employees to instill good work ethic, commitment to quality in all that we do and loyalty to the patronage of our customers. With that being said, I would hire Zsnail as an employee based solely on her character and work ethic and she will always be my first resource for anything dealing with design. I wish her well in life and beg her to never forget the greatest qualities in her which are the ones that represent loving your neighbor and doing your part to make the world a better place...even if it is one logo at a time. Please feel free to reach out to me at kassie@thekassieproject.com if you would like anymore information regarding my experience or referral of Zsnail and her work.
