nick.cain5 needed a new logo and social media pack design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 69 designs submitted by 14 freelance designers.
The Act of Storytelling
We are an arts/acting podcast, hosted by two Australians in the arts, Nick Cain and Lauren Bailey – but we consider ourselves much more than that now, and our community of like-minded storytellers drive everything we do and input along the way with blogs, feedback etc.
We live mainly online, so our digital footprint and brand is very important.
Our tagline is "Challenging the human experience". Happy for the design to explore how the slogan may be incorporated in the logo. But the logo needs to stand on it's own two feet also.
*Inclusion of Gold or Yellow as colour alongside the greycale photography/imagery (provided).

Winning design will ideally include;
*Future forward, minimalistic, sleek and experimental logo
*Greyscale Imagery of podcast hosts included in background somehow (as provided in resources section)
*Innovative integration of black cockatoo feather illustration (as provided in resources section) into design somehow - consider double exposure with photography but happy to be suprised!
*The Font:
Font choice and layout of the wording is critical to a great design winner. As a secondary note, the word ‘ACT’ must be featured. I'd like to explore ways that doesn't neccesarily mean making the text bigger to do that (unless that looks great!).

As a podcast, our new mission statement has transitioned from ‘Sharing the human experience’ to ‘Challenging the human experience’.
Our podcast tagline has transitioned to ‘Speaking to Australians who impact the world through art’. The evolution of who we are, means we’ve become the architects. Inspiring, creating, advising, and curating change in the world. So our look needs to evolve with this. So we will be looking to take the podcast in a more MODERN, SLEEK, EXPERIMENTAL and MINIMALISTIC form. All the highlighted words need to be considered in our visual outputs of the design.
