Swagmen Media
Swagmen Media an Australian media company that acts as an umbrella organisation for (so far) two podcasts and one blog. The Jolly Swagmen Podcast is the flagship show: an iTunes top-rated podcast that is a weekly show about everything. It has covered topics as diverse as cryptocurrency, intermittent fasting, effective altruism, economics, Donald Trump, entrepreneurship and Mount Everest climbing. Guests range from James Damore (the 'Google memo guy') to Peter Singer (world's most influential living moral philosopher). The other podcast under the Swagmen Media banner is 'Sink or Swim', a show that interviews successful Australian and international entrepreneurs, asking them when their pivotal moments were. Swagmen Media's final asset is a no-nonsense blog on the Australian and global economy and financial markets, written by an amateur but brilliant investor. Swagmen Media provides a cheeky, irreverent, but fundamentally well-intentioned, optimistic and intelligent look at Australian social and economic life. At the same time it isn't afraid to delve into philosophy and international issues, as these things matter to Australians as well. Our target audience is mostly young professionals and millennials in Australia's major metropolitan areas. They are people interested the world and the world of ideas.

We consider ourselves quite similar in style and audience to Crooked Media and Gimlet Media.

Our flagship podcast is The Jolly Swagmen Podcast. Here is its blurb: "Swagmen were the bush travelers of Australian folklore, moving from place to place in search of work, with little more than bread for sustenance.
Today, their successors Angus and Joe embody that same spirit, following ideas wherever they lead, with little more than mid-to-high range 21st-century Japanese-made mics for audio equipment. Join us each week as we speak to world-famous philosophers, investors, risk-takers, love-makers and quirky academics."
