*** CARD DETAILS / SPECIFICATIONS *** We're using MOO.com to print our cards (LUXE cards) and the templates and guidelines can be see here: http://us.moo.com/help/faq/templates-and-guidelines.html (see the "Business Cards" templates). Here is the FAQ for the LUXE cards which should be read as there are graphic limitations there: http://us.moo.com/help/faq/luxe-business-cards-faq.html NOTE: THESE CARDS ARE NOT STANDARD US SIZE: 84mm x 55mm 3.3inches x 2.17inches They are also thicker and have different colored center options: Red (approx. C25, M100, Y90, K30), Blue (approx. C100, M15, Y5, K5), Black (approx. C0, M0, Y0, K100) White (approx. C0, M0, Y0, K0) *** DIFFERENT BACKS *** MOO.com also allows you to print up to 50 different backs on your cards. We currently have 20 different backs with our existing design, which we may reuse, but we'd like to see some new ideas. We definitely need a new front. Be sure there is accommodation made to write notes on the back and some sort of design that can be changed up so there are a variety of different designs. Can be the same design with different colors or variations of a design etc. You can look at our current backs here for reference: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/40036319/99Designs/CGA.zip *** DESIGNS WE LIKE *** Most of the designs on the MOO.com site are pretty representative of the graphical treatment we're after. Fresh, Up to date, colorful, illustrative. You can also see some examples of stock designs with different backs on the MOO.com site here: http://us.moo.com/design-templates/luxe/business-cards/ Note that all of these designs use typography and unique design elements. Also we work in an architectural industry, so try to keep that in mind with the design. Geometic shapes like the following are good directions to try: http://us.moo.com/design-templates/luxe/business-cards/pack/hemiunu.html http://us.moo.com/design-templates/luxe/business-cards/pack/geometricks.html http://us.moo.com/design-templates/luxe/business-cards/pack/sheldoncooper.html http://us.moo.com/design-templates/luxe/business-cards/pack/triangulate.html I'm open to any ideas, though I don't want any photographic imagery. I'm a fan of white space and typography and illustrative graphics, marks etc. The people I deal with are all very talented creatives so I want a card that reflects the industry I work in and the caliber of work that is done. I want the cards to be memorable. For example the 20 different backs we currently have are always a good conversation starter as collectively the cards make up one huge city if lined up side by side. For the letterhead, it's not going to be printed so needs to be able to work in a Word document as a header, footer, background image etc.
Brand name to include on the stationery item(s)
CGarchitect (just use the logo)
What to avoid
- Photography - Backs that can't accommodate writing a note (I'm ok if there is just enough whitespace within the design for notes too. It does not need to be a designated notes area.) - Using the wrong size business card in your mockup. Note we are not using standard US sizes - Recycling our logo as the only design element.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Stationery starts at $199.
