http://www.uabsports.com/ - I like the header and footer section of this website because it’ minimalist in design for a very busy page. I like the graphics and how the main nab bar pulls down with another brandable section. I’d love to duplicate the footer exactly as it is.
http://www.BaylorBears.com/ - I like the rustic looking background and navigation feature as mentioned above. I also like how they tab their main feature area with a top headlines and videos tab. I also like the widgets (boxes) for the blog, more headlines, banner ad, and the scrolling ads
- The main goal is to make the homepage a catch-all, very dynamic information page (like http://www.uabsports.com/). We want to provide as much information about upcoming programs and events, highlight our athletes, present featured videos we post on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/delucassports), space for banner ads where we can have prospects opt-in (via a weber), twitter and Facebook updates, current articles and blog posts, navigation to (about us, contact us, sports training, articles, blog, programs, corporate information)
- The goal for these is to provide cleaner, less cluttered information with space on the right hand side for banner ads where we can continue to promote to prospects. 2 column layout with widgets on right hand column for banner ads, blog archives, etc.
Please incorporate the tagline “the gym for the athlete” in your design. The primary target market is young athletes, aged 7-18 and their parents and coaches, while the secondary markets are adult athletes (golfers & tennis). Typically, these young athletes come from two-income families, providing the peripheral needs and disposable income necessary for acquiring this type of service. Most athletes come from two-income families in which both parents work.
