Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
It is a news aggregation site that shows a set list of news, entertainment, sports and weather websites and the date/times of their headlines. The target audience are news junkies or anyone looking for a snapshot in time of the headlines of sites, past and present.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Existing website
Page descriptions
There is only one page, the headline grid. The user can navigate to different date/times and filter the results but it's just the one page. There may be a second page for sending feedback but only need the one designed for now.
What to avoid
Nothing busy. It's a lot of information on a page and I want it presented cleanly, something that's easy on the eyes to scan through. Also, the grid is rendered as an HTML table and the design needs to support this.
Other notes
Would like the article cells to be background images that give a three-dimensional feel (like color gradients) and would like a darker color for the background with light/white foreground text. Also alternating colors for the rows.
