Design Brief for Love My Apparel
Our client, Love My Apparel, is looking for a design for an e-commerce clothes boutique website. The design should be easy to navigate, clean to look at and make use of a white background and black text throughout.
The client likes the look of http://www.matchesfashion.com/, http://www.net-a-porter.com and http://www.my-wardrobe.com/. Inspiration can be taken from these websites, especially the my-wardrobe.com homepage.
The design of Love My Apparel should have the logo situated to the top left hand corner of the page. To the right of the header should be links for;
• My Account
• Log in
• My Bag
• Also a search bar
Below this there should be a navigation bar, similar to my-wardrobe, with 5 sections to choose from;
• Whats New
The client likes the definition of the menu on the net-a-porter website so a mixture of this and my-wardrobe is the ideal.
The homepage should then have one main image which fills most of the screen. This should show models wearing whatever items the client is wishing to promote at the time. For the design process please either use stock photos or you can use photos from the “look books” attached. To the right hand of this should be 2 or 3 products to be able to click into.
Underneath the image, the design should make allowances for Facebook and Twitter links – possibly within the footer. Also in this general area should be the general links for the site which consist of;
• About us
• Contact us
• Delivery Information
• Returns and Exchanges
• Terms and Conditions
